Dr. Saxe has 21 years of service with LAUSD. He taught English and Social Studies for the Senior High Schools Division and served with the Division of Adult and Career Education as an ESL instructor, Academic Counselor, SIS Coordinator, ESL Coordinator, Branch Coordinator, and Assistant Principal.
He also helped develop the Distance Learning video series "Putting English to Work." In 2002, he was appointed Principal of Jefferson Community Adult School and in 2004 he became Principal of Abram Friedman Occupational Center, where he is currently employed. Howard teaches part time for both National University and UCLA Extension. His AALA experience includes three terms as an Adult Department Director.
